R&D Software Engineer

I build offline-first software for packaging machines, running on industrial PCs and integrated directly with machine PLCs. Within the first year of its release, my application was deployed on 20+ machines across the USA and Europe, helping operators get machines back up and running faster and reducing downtime.
Fault Video Capture System
Records video of a packaging machine at the moment a fault occurs, using event cameras mounted inside the machine. It talks to the PLC over OPC UA to detect faults and capture the relevant footage, so engineers can see what actually happened instead of guessing, and recover faster. Runs fully offline on an industrial PC.
Machine Diagnostics & Predictive Maintenance Platform
Gives engineers the diagnostic data they need to investigate why a machine faulted, and supports predictive maintenance. Includes integration with a secure, encrypted email service so customers can send diagnostic data to their machine builders safely.
Edge-to-HMI Communication Service
A Windows service written in Rust that connects the edge applications above with the Windows-based HMI. It exposes application state, logs and diagnostics to the operator interface.
RTSP-to-Event-Camera Bridge
Turns any RTSP-capable camera into an event camera, so customers aren't locked into specific hardware. Built on MediaMTX.
- Designed and built AI agents that automate engineering and diagnostic workflows.
- Integrated an application marketplace and managed multiple apps from development through release.
- Studied the feasibility of various hypervisors for running PLC software.

Lead Backend Developer
Apr 2022 – Nov 2023Hydroneo (Thailand) Co., Ltd
- Led a backend team of 3 developers and 1 DevOps engineer, planning and delegating work every sprint.
- Designed a cloud system supporting hundreds of Smart Aquaculture IoT devices.
- Improved and troubleshot the existing cloud system, working with the frontend and firmware teams to ship new features.
- Analysed cloud infrastructure cost and optimised it to bring spending down.
- Reported software development progress in the weekly inter-departmental meeting, to the CTO.
Full Stack Developer

- Delivered features end to end, from the Spring WebFlux backend to the Flutter frontend.
